Description
TRNG-0202 is a comprehensive study of the layer 4 through 7 features of Foundry Networks ServerIron products.
Students gain hands on experience in configuration of typical installations with the ServerIrons. Lecture topics
are supported with real world labs involving: Source NAT, Direct Server Return, Active-Active Server Load Balancing,
Firewall Load Balancing (FWLB), and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).
Who will benefit?
Anyone working with ServerIron products.
Prerequisites
To fully benefit from this course you should have a working knowledge of the listed technologies:
Foundry Networks CLI, Foundry Router Interfaces addressing, DNS, the OSI reference model, TCP/UDP port numbers,
structure of a URL address.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Identify where Foundry ServerIron products are used in typical networks.
- Configure ServerIrons in Layer 4 through 7 applications.
- Incorporate fault tolerance and high availability at different levels.
- Redirect content to cache servers without configuring a browser proxy.
- Configure FWLB.
- Implement policy based switching keying on SSL ID, cookie, or URL.
